Local Authority Consents
Planning permission - Whether situated in a Domestic or Commercial setting log cabins will generally need planning permission.
In addition,
Building Regulation Approval will also be required. To this end we have partnered with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and have obtained TypeApproval.

Guarantee
Cabins supplied by timber chalets (uk) ltd can be provided with a 12 year Guarantee against major structural defects.
   
Mortgage
Log cabins are not normally deemed mortgageable, however due to the craftsmanship of the Luoman range and because they fully comply with the Building Regulations a major national provider will mortgage our log cabins subject to status.

Insurance
As with traditional brick built homes our Log Cabins can be covered by house hold insurance.
   
Cheap Imitations
There are many manufactures and suppliers of Log Cabins throughout the country. Some little more than caravans “dressed” with the name, others may have a lookalike but are of inferior manufacture that may not achieve compliance with the necessary regulations for use without further and extensive costs in up grading.
